The photograph above and the next one in sequence appear to be the same picture, with one of them having, perhaps, been 'doctored.'  The postcard above was released by Photochrom Co., Ltd. whilst the next one in sequence was published by real Photographs Co. 

4 September 2004 ~ Today I received another copy of the postcard (above left) from my son who had acquired it from an internet seller.  The notes above were found written in pencil on the reverse.  Although there's nothing new in the notes, it is most interesting to see that someone took care to record salient details of the ships history.  A passenger perhaps, or maybe a crew member?
