Much of the history of any
organisation, commercial or otherwise, may be traced through the paper
left behind long after that organisation's demise. And so it is with
the New Zealand Shipping Company and one of its most famous vessels, the
mv Rangitiki. The links below offer a representative
selection of ephemera relating to the Company and the ship that has come
into our possession over the past several months, and from these documents
and bits and bobs, one can readily feel the sense of purpose in providing
the Company's customers with the very best of service, and how a well
organized shipping company operated.
